Snowsports Season Preliminary Numbers

Deep snowpack and ongoing storms mean the season still isn’t over in many parts of the country. But preliminary numbers from the latest Kottke End of Season Report show that ski and snowboard visits fell 1.3 percent to 56.2 million this season compared to 56.9 million visits the previous year.

“It was a tale of two seasons,” said Dave Belin of RRC Associates, which compiles the information for the Kottke and presents the initial findings at the National Ski Areas Association’s Annual Convention, which was held in Savannah, Georgia last week.
