Work from RRC Associates results show the 2020-21 winter ski season was the 5th busiest on record nationally and amassed 59 million total skiers and snowboarders. Interest in skiing and snowboarding was also evident in the State of Montana.
“COVID drove more people to want to participate in skiing. They had fun. They wanted to come back. They wanted to bring their friends. They wanted to spend more time in the mountains and skiing and sliding on snow,” said Dave Belin, ski industry consultant with RRC Associates.
