Survey results of airline passengers using the Gunnison-Crested Butte airport (GUC) indicate the facility is a big reason many of them choose to come to the area to recreate. A research project from RRC Associates shows the impact of the airport on the local economy, accounting for $33 million in direct expenditures in the area. Read more from the Crested Butte News.
