RRC Associates recently completed a 2022 economic study with the University of Montana’s Institute for Tourism and Recreation Research. The study found that tourism adds $236 million out-of-state dollars annually to the Park County economy and wolf-related tourism contributes at least $82 million annually to greater Yellowstone area towns. In part due to these local tourism-related dollars and recent devastating Yellowstone flood, a coalition of 150 local businesses in the gateway towns around Yellowstone is asking Montana wildlife officials to restore the lower limits on wolf kills in the area directly north of Yellowstone.
