RRC Associates has conducted a wide variety of community research and planning projects for the Town of Telluride over the years. These projects include the following:
- Town of Telluride STR analysis: As a subconsultant to EPS in 2023, RRC analyzed the role of STRs in Telluride’s tourism economy, as part of a broader STR regulatory study and analysis.
- Town of Telluride remodeling employment generation analysis: In partnership with EPS, RRC developed first-pass estimates of employment generation associated with remodeling activity in Telluride in 2024, for purposes of potential housing mitigation regulation.
- San Miguel Regional Housing Needs Assessments: RRC conducted employer and resident surveys throughout San Miguel and Ouray Counties in 2010/11 and 2018 in support of regional housing needs assessments and housing regulatory efforts. RRC is currently conducting a household and employee survey in the region as part of a 2024 housing needs assessment and planning effort, in partnership with EPS.
- Telluride Master Plan: RRC is currently assisting with updates to the master plan and was a lead consultant on updates to the Telluride Master Plan previously, in 1986, 2006 and 2012.
- Ongoing, multi-year airport passenger research at Telluride and Montrose airports.
