RRC has assessed visitor sentiment and the economic impact of events in Denver since 2018. Our work has covered many of the city’s large special events like Cinco de Mayo, Pridefest, Oktoberfest, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, which has given Visit Denver quantitative data on how residents perceive them, how much attendees spend, and what types of trips and participants the events attract.
In 2022 and 2024, Visit Denver and the Downtown Denver Partnership used RRC to research resident sentiment and understand how residents view the impacts of visitors on Denver’s quality of life. Both clients also aimed to understand how Denverites feel about special events, attractions/amenities, and the overall downtown experience. Research methods included mailing surveys to residents and survey panels to more comprehensively address research needs. The resulting data from this work allows Visit Denver and its partner organizations to better respond to both community priorities and improvements to quality of life while promoting tourism to Denver.
