Boulder Firm To Spin-Off From Parent
November 1, 2013: The senior leadership team of RRC Associates LLC, a Boulder-based consumer intelligence and marketing consulting firm, is buying the company back from STR, its corporate parent. STR is the global leader in hospitality benchmarking and had purchased RRC Associates, Inc. in January 2008. The move to reorganize RRC represents an opportunity for the company to renew its focus on the tourism and recreation industries.

The entire senior team at RRC Associates will remain in place including: Chris Cares, Nate Fristoe, Dave Belin, David Becher, and Mike Simone. The stability and continuity of leadership, combined with the talent and commitment of the company as a whole, promises to contribute to the company’s progress and continued success. The purchase was completed on October 31, 2013.
RRC Associates has particular strengths in the mountain resort, snowsports, destination marketing, and parks and recreation industries. The studies that RRC Associates authors are widely used by clients to monitor marketplace trends and to inform decisions regarding operations, marketing, advertising, pricing, and strategic initiatives.
